We tend to blame things outside ourselves for the anxiety that keeps our head spinning and our bodies in a state of discomfort.
Take the holidays for example!!
What you don't hear much about is your physiology being a cause of anxiety. Anxiety is low grade fear, and it's your body that is afraid, because it's
NOT GETTING ENOUGH of what it needs...
Shallow breathing and defensive posture lead to not enough OXYGEN.
A locked up sacrum (lowest part of the spine) means poor flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). (Did you know the sacrum is a pump?!) That fluid is VITAL to nourish the brain, and to milk the pituitary gland, which is the master hormone regulator!
Excess tension in a body causes a state of chronic stress, which limits BLOOD FLOW to the cortex, and keeps us stuck in survival mode.
How did we get here?!
Each time you experience fear, excess tension loads up in your nervous system. Without good ways to release this tension, it continues to increase and promote chronic stress response in the nervous system.
Hence, a vicious cycle of increasing tension and anxiety.
What can we do?!
The more you can connect with areas of ease inside your body, the better your body and life can HEAL.
As a healing facilitator, my most important job is to help my clients connect with and expand areas of ease within their nervous system.
